Frost* is an independent creative studio collaborating with clients around the globe in disciplines as diverse as design, advertising, strategy, environmental and digital. Voted one of the most influential designers of his time, creative director Vince Frost has designed everything from postage stamps to the built environment. Frost* has recently created ad campaigns for MySpace, Seafolly and Tourism Northern Territory and has a strong commitment to using creative for promoting environmental and social issues in new and exciting ways.
Waxed tipped organic bananas inspired the concept for the ACON sex safe campaign. In the same way the design references safe sex programs that use bananas to show how to put a condom on, the tag line adds "dom" to ACON, creating the line ACONdom.
The design takes inspiration from 1960s pop art withbright colours and a bold screen-printed aesthetic to produce an iconic image that encourages the use of condoms.
